La Galera the Original Location
How did La Galera Event Hall come into existence? The backstory is truly indicative of a family’s love for each other and reminiscent of their earlier days in Mexico. Jose Miguel Aguirre grew up surrounded by a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and his parents in a beautiful area near Durango, Mexico. On their property was a “warehouse”. It was meant for working, playing, sleepovers with friends, cooking, and the pleasure of dining together. Jose’s desire to honor his mother, Tomasa, and his father, Cutberto, has been instrumental in creating a version of a gathering warehouse in Denver.

Centrally located at 69th & York Street (close to I-270, I-76, and I-25) in North Denver, our location is ideally situated for guests. There are special celebrations in life, and for a romantic yet rustic environment reminiscent of “Old Mexico”, La Galera Event Hall is well-suited for your needs. Are you celebrating a wedding? A Birthday Party? A Quinceañera? A Family Reunion? A key Business Meeting? Perhaps a well-deserved Retirement Party?
The building is newly renovated, featuring all wood floors that are perfect for dancing, as well as decorative timber accents. The owner, Jose Miguel Aguirre, has personally overseen the essential design elements of the Event Hall to ensure your enjoyment and comfort. His innate talent transports you to a delightful experience for all and will fulfill your hopes that your event is memorable for your guests.
